1. Who is responsible for your data

modiabiz.com is operated by Deborah Modiano, a sole proprietor registered in Israel (osek murshe), doing business as Modiabiz (« Modiabiz, » « we, » « us »). Modiabiz is the controller of the personal data collected through this website.

For any question about your data: deborah@modiabiz.com

2. Legal framework

We process your data in accordance with Israel’s Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981 (as amended, including Amendment No. 13, in force since August 2025) and its regulations, including the Privacy Protection (Data Security) Regulations, 5777-2017. If you are located in the European Union, we also comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

3. What data we collect

Data you give us through our contact forms or by email: first and last name, email address, company, job title, phone number, the subject of your request and your message. Fields marked with an asterisk are required for us to respond. You have no legal obligation to provide them, but without them we can’t process your request.

Technical data collected automatically when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, date and time of access. This data appears in our hosting provider’s server logs and is used to keep the site secure and working properly.

Cookies, described in section 9.

We never ask for sensitive data (health, political opinions, religious beliefs, etc.). Please don’t include any in your messages.

4. How we use it

  • To respond to your request and set up a first conversation, based on your request and steps taken before entering into a contract.
  • To prepare proposals and manage our business relationship, based on our contract or the steps leading to it.
  • To keep the site secure and running smoothly, based on our legitimate interest.
  • To measure site traffic, if an analytics tool is enabled, only with your consent.
  • To meet our legal obligations, including accounting and tax requirements.

We don’t sell or rent your data to anyone. We don’t send you marketing communications without your consent, except as permitted by law, and you can opt out at any time.

5. Who has access to it

Your data is handled by Deborah Modiano. It may be shared, strictly as needed, with the following service providers:

  • o2switch (France): website hosting, including messages sent through our forms.
  • Google: business email (receiving your emails and requests) and the fonts displayed on the site (Google Fonts, which receives your IP address).
  • Calendly: if you book a meeting, your information is collected directly by Calendly under its own privacy policy.
  • An analytics provider, if one is enabled, only if you have accepted it.

We may also disclose data to public authorities when required by law.

6. International transfers

Modiabiz is based in Israel, a country recognized by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection. The website is hosted in the European Union. Some providers (Google, Calendly) may process data in the United States. These transfers are covered by recognized safeguards, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. How long we keep it

  • Inquiries that don’t lead to a project: 3 years from our last exchange.
  • Clients: for the duration of our business relationship, then for the periods required by law (7 years for accounting and tax records in Israel).
  • Server logs: up to 12 months.
  • Cookies: up to 13 months.

8. Security

We use appropriate security measures: encrypted connection (HTTPS), access to data limited to Deborah Modiano, strong passwords and two-factor authentication where our tools offer it, and regular website updates. In the event of a serious security incident, we will notify the relevant authorities and, where required, the people affected, as the law requires.

9. Cookies

The site uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work, for example to remember your language and your cookie preferences. These don’t require your consent.

If we add analytics or social media cookies, they will only be set with your consent, through the banner shown on your first visit. You can change your choices at any time by clicking the cookie icon at the bottom of the screen.

At any time, you can:

  • have it corrected or completed;
  • ask us to delete it;
  • object to its use, including for marketing, and ask to be removed from our contact lists;
  • withdraw your consent, where processing is based on it;
  • if you are in the European Union: request restriction of processing or data portability.

Email us at deborah@modiabiz.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can file a complaint with Israel’s Privacy Protection Authority or, if you are in the European Union, with your national data protection authority.
